Introduction:

“iSpeak” by Nelson, Titsworth, and Pearson, specifically the 2013 edition, has significantly impacted my understanding of effective communication in conjunction with the presentations of the chapters presented by my classmates. In this blog entry, I’ll delve deeper into my personal opinion about the content and themes of the presentations and the book, highlighting my appreciation for the approachable and extremely informative presentations from my classmates. 

The Rhetorical Process:

The theme of the rhetorical process, as presented in “iSpeak,” has truly revolutionized my approach to public speaking. It has shifted my perspective from merely delivering a speech to engaging in a dynamic conversation with my audience. This concept has taught me that successful communication is not a one-way street but an interactive experience where I must analyze my audience’s needs and adapt my message accordingly. By embracing this idea, I’ve learned to become a more flexible and responsive speaker. The examples in the book of how this process can be applied effectively, helped make the concept more tangible and relatable.

Ethical Communication:
